Mike Mattern, A. Sc.T - President

Mike is the President of MPM Construction Services Ltd.  Graduating from SIAST Palliser Campus in Moose Jaw in 1994, Mike became a Civil Engineering Technologist. He has been working in the industry for many years, and works hard to meet our clients' needs. Mike has been involved in a variety of roles in the Engineering and Construction fields such as, materials testing, drafting, survey and layout, subdivision and building design, Contract Administration, Project Management, and land development.

Mike is often found on the jobsite overseeing the progress and construction of each job, ensuring our clients are satisfied throughout the process.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending quality time with his wife Sherry and three dogs, working on different vehicles, catching Rider games, and spending quality time with close family and friends.

Chantelle Schlechter - Office Manager 

Chantelle Schlechter stepped into the accounting field in 2016. She graduated in 2018 from Saskatchewan Polytechnics Business Program with an Accounting Diploma in hand, which was shortly followed by accepting the MPM Office Management position, proving herself an asset of the company in 2019.

Today, Chantelle manages all the accounting and payroll functions as well as holds the position of Office Manager, responsible for all major company finances, government sector transactions and report.

When Chantelle isn’t working, she can be found spending time with her husband and beloved fur babies, going to the lake with family, traveling, or working on various projects to keep herself occupied.

Jill Boyce - Project Manager

Jill Boyce’s love for the construction industry began with the start of her electrical career in 2007. She became a licensed, Journeyperson Electrician in 2011, and has managed a wide variety of projects since. Her ability to effectively and creatively solve problems, while adapting and thriving to her surroundings, led her to jump at the opportunity and accept a role in Project Management in 2020.

Jill soon took over the Project Management role by joining the MPM Construction Team in 2021. She is excited to expand her skills, learn from her experienced coworkers, and build long-lasting relationships within the industry. Jill has a true passion for making a difference when representing and supporting women in the construction industry.

Outside of work, Jill enjoys spending time at the beach, fishing and camping with her husband and two young children. You can also spot her cheering on the Roughriders, coaching her kids in Baseball, and taking in live music any chance she gets.

Ronel Anyog - Estimator

Ronel Anyog was awarded a Bachelor Of Science in Civil Engineering in 1987 while he attended the Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines.

 

His professional career began in 1988, where he was employed as a Cost Estimator, Office Engineer, Engineering Supervisor in building construction, and Project Engineer/Estimator, covering most of the Philippines as well as into Taiwan until 2009.

 

Ronel continued his work as an Estimator in Canada in 2010. Working closely with customers, subtrades, supplies, and project managers until he joined the MPM Construction Team in 2014. Today, he continues to be a valuable asset to the MPM Construction Team.

In his spare time, Ronel enjoys woodworking and spending time with his family.

Bailey Mattern - Office Administrator/Accounts Payable

Bailey Mattern started her career in the construction field in June of 2022. She is currently enrolled in the University of Regina for Business, furthering her knowledge of the ins and outs of corporate work.

Day to day you can find Bailey in the office answering phone calls, working on accounts payable, and assisting her coworkers wherever needed. Bailey continues to prove her value to the company with her strong commitment to expanding her knowledge of the business.

When Bailey isn't at work, she enjoys spending time with her partner Eric, going to the gym, and enjoying quality time with her family.

Shane Beckett - Field Manager

Shane Beckett started his construction career in 1997 and gained his Red Seal Journeyperson Carpenter Certificate in 2004.

After working alongside Mike Mattern at a previous employer, Shane joined the MPM Construction Team in 2010.

 

Since joining the team, Shane has consistently played a role in all on-going projects. He ensures all projects run on the prepared schedule, and have the available workforce to perform under the MPM Team’s expectations. Shane brings over 22 years of experience in the industry and takes satisfaction in meeting our client’s high standards.

 

When Shane isn’t working on-site, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children camping, watching football games, and getting in some time at the local skating rink.

Dawson Sorensen - Site Superintendent

Dawson Sorensen started working in the construction industry in 1998. He began his career with MPM Construction in 2008, and has been a valuable asset to the company for over 14 years. Dawson takes pride in a job well done and ensuring client expectations are met on every projects he completes. His attention to detail is second to none in this industry.

 

Soon after joining the MPM Construction Team, Dawson acquired his Red Seal Certificate as a Journeyperson Carpenter in February of 2009. He enjoys working with skilled dedicated tradespeople everyday in the industry.

 

In his spare time, Dawson cherishes spending time with his family, watching and participating in many sports like hockey, golf, and Baseball.

Wes Frigon - Site Superintendent

Wes Frigon has been a valuable asset to the MPM team since 2011. Previous field manager Terry Beckett mentored Wes for many years, and helped coach him to be the strong leader he is today. 

As a previous building inspector, experienced painter and welder, with over 20 years in the field, Wes continues to be an important member of the MPM team, ensuring all standards are met on site.

When not on site, Wes enjoys spending time with his son Landon, spending quality time with his significant other, and enjoying outdoor activities such as, fishing.
